As a CTeL member, you join a dynamic network of digital health leaders committed to advancing telehealth, remote monitoring, AI, and next-generation health technologies. Here’s what makes CTeL unique and invaluable for telehealth professionals:

  • Regulatory Compliance, Simplified

    • Health systems rely on internal legal and compliance teams, but our research goes deeper—addressing highly specific, niche regulatory questions that even contracting attorneys struggle to answer.

    • We get you 95% of the way there—saving time, cutting costs, and ensuring compliance before problems arise.

  • Research That Drives Profitability & Operational Success

    • Utilitarian research: We don’t just provide data—we guide you through implementation within 3-9 months so you can use the insights to drive financially viable strategies.

    • Custom research & reimbursement analysis: Understand where revenue is being lost or left on the table and how to optimize.

    • Quick payback period: We help add revenue to the top line or remove costs from the bottom line—driving ROI rapidly.

    Exclusive Access & Collective Influence

    • We secure policy outcomes that health systems depend on. Our research has directly shaped telehealth flexibilities, and the government has asked us to conduct the next study that will determine whether they become permanent. We need funding to make this happen.

    • Health systems can’t afford to lose ground. If regulatory flexibilities disappear, it will be costly and complex to re-onboard thousands of providers who suddenly lose telehealth access.

Vendor Due Diligence & Selection: Avoid Costly Mistakes

    • We help health systems avoid being oversold by vendors by ensuring their solutions align with the real-world regulatory landscape.

    • While we don’t do physical contracting, we support investment, telehealth, and AI decision-making so that health systems can engage with vendors strategically and compliantly.

    Crisis Prevention: Protecting Strategic Gains

    • The cost of inaction is too high: If you lose compliance or regulatory footing, rebuilding is exponentially harder. We help prevent disruptions before they happen.

We don’t mean to brag, but we're kind of a big deal.

CTeL’s research has been the foundation of major regulatory flexibilities, thanks to our growing membership collective.

DEA Telemedicine Prescribing Waivers Extended: Yes, We helped make this happen.

CTeL’s expansive member network provided us with the intel that the DEA was considering letting these waivers expire. CTeL led an industry effort to press the importance of this issue, and the agency issued an additional extension as a result. CTeL spoke to the DEA at the 2024 Listening Session and presented research on the impact telehealth has had on access to care, because of this, the waivers were extended, meaning continued access to care for patients and prescribing abilities for providers and health systems

Telehealth Reimbursement Extended: Yes, We helped make this happen too.

In December ‘23, Congress passed a two-year extension of Medicare telehealth reimbursement, utilizing CTeL research. We are actively working to produce research to encourage Congress to make a longer extension or permanency as the March 31, 2025 deadline approaches.

Research for the Digital Health Community

CTeL published three new 50-state policy research reports: informed consent for telehealth, telehealth payment parity, and telehealth prescribing of controlled substances. Each of these reports are utilized by policymakers across the country to impact policy decisions at the federal, state, and regional levels.

CTeL is working on publishing and releasing first-of-its-kind diversion research and updated cost-impact research to encourage Congress to properly score telehealth for rulemaking.

Direct Member Impact: We do a lot of this.

We engage with our members on a consistent, routine basis. Meaning we know what you need and we know how to help! For example, CTeL helped a large health system, Holon Health, increase its payment rate from just under 50% to upwards of 95%. That’s no small change. We also hosted 2 in-person events, a virtual Remote Monitoring Summit, Capitol Hill Day, and countless webinars focused on the issues our members are concerned about, all included in the cost of membership.

These events connect our members with leaders in the digital heath field, not just in the room, but at the same table, engaging in conversation and driving change which makes a wider impact.

CTeL membership isn’t just a subscription—it’s a strategic investment that saves money, reduces risks, and drives results for your organization.
